School Lunches & Break Time Snacks

We have a NO NUT policy as we have children who attend with severe nut allergies.  Please DO NOT allow your child to bring anything in containing nuts. 

Lunchtimes

Stuart Road Primary school meals are cooked on the premises by our catering contractors, CATERed.   Current menu is at the bottom of the page.  Our meals service aims to provide varied, balanced meals with a choice of two main courses with vegetables or salad, yogurt or fruit and a sweet everyday. Also milk, pure fruit juice and squash are provided for the children with their meal. Parents are welcome to visit the school to see and taste the meals provided. Payment for lunch is £14.00 a week or £2.80 a day which should be paid online via School Money

Packed Lunches
Pupils and parents may opt for them/their child to have a packed lunch.


Remember!
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal.

Universal Infant Free School Meals and Free School Meals

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2

All pupils in these year groups are entitled to receive a school meal at no cost as part of the Universal Infant Free School Meals grant.

At the end of Year 2

Universal Infant Free School Meals will cease as your child joins Year 3 in September. All school meals will now require payment via SchoolMoney

You would have received information regarding Schoolmoney including a user guide either when we switched to this system, or when your child started school. If you are unable to login please contact the school office.

Whole school - Free School Meals

Families who are in receipt of any of the benefits below may also be entitled to Free School Meals. Please use the link below to apply: 
  • Income Support
  • Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
  • Child Tax Credits with NO Working Tax Credits and an annual income not exceeding of £16,190
  • Guarantee element of Pension Credit
  • Income Related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
  • Support under PartVI of the Immigration and Asylum Act.
Healthy Snacks
 
All children in KS1, and Reception receive a free piece of fruit or vegetable everyday as part of the Governments School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme. As children move up into KS2, if they wish to have a break time snack, they are required to bring in something from home.

  • Dried fruits
  • Cereal bars
  • Crackers
  • Cheese 
  • PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD WITH CRISPS, NUTS, CHOCOLATE OR SWEETS.
